Required Student & Parent orientation

My classes are not typical.  We have a lot of fun while learning, but there is a system of study.  

It is the one recommended by Dr. Wile, the author of my textbooks.  It is not difficult, BUT it is new and BOTH the Student and Parent need to understand how it works. 

This coming year, students have a greater responsibility to utilize resources to know what to do and Orientation directs them on how.

There is a change in my classes for this upcoming year.  Our class time is being reduced.  What comes with this, is a higher accountability for my students to view video directions for different elements of our class.  These videos are  posted to our school platform.  This provides 24/7 access to my students on what is expected.

My students learn what is expected of them and gives them the opportunity to meet their lab partners and get past the awkwardness of  first time meetings, especially since we jump right in full throttle our first class.  

It also gives parents an understanding of what to expect and what is needed to be my accountability partner.
