INDEPENDENT CAMPUS with Revelation Science (RS)
Thursdays, RS, The Woodlands campus,
9:00 - 11:30 am
2020-2021
Students are given an outline of course work required to complete as school work each week, which includes the student correcting and grading work that is turned in for review. Students are also responsible for writing up their lab reports to cover labs and activities, then turn them in for evaluation.
There are 16 modules, which translate into 32 weeks of work to cover in 30 weeks, so students have a reading and work assignment to complete prior to our first class in the Fall as well as in the Spring semester.
Notebooks are a major part of the course. Student's course work is to be filed weekly.
Advice – Do not get behind!
Grading focuses on following directions and on-time full completion of assignments in order to help teach a valuable life skill that also assists students in their future academics.
This and more are detailed at our Required Orientation.
Please note that Schoology is the platform used for assignments and communication between the teacher and student, so access to a computer and printer are essential to this class.
2020-2021
Pertaining to the labs, one experiment is performed off campus at a building with an elevator, location to be announced. The text provides a detailed introduction to the methods and concepts of general physics, heavily emphasizing vector analysis; it is ideal preparation for a university-level physics course. It provides the student with a strong background in one-dimensional and two-dimensional motion, Newton’s laws and their application, gravity, work and energy, momentum, periodic motion, waves, optics, electrostatics, electrodynamics, electrical circuits, and magnetism.
Looking forward to our exciting adventure as we do this together!

A higher level of accountability is incorporated into the course. To maintain enrollment, students must follow through on weekly assignments. A vital component of the course grade evaluation is following instructions and keeping work organized. It begins at the required Student & Parent Orientation. Our orientation is one week prior to classes starting and is 2.5 hours and is typically held on the same day and at the same location as classes are scheduled.
This will be confirmed and a reminder sent.
Reminder: Schoology is the platform used for assignments and communication between the teacher and student, so access to a computer and printer are essential to this class.
